The Castle of Dragalno

Synopsis

Charlie Aldon was having an utterly normal day when his class were given the wrong form to go on a school trip. Instead of going to Halender Farm, Charlie and Class 7 find themselves heading off to the most haunted castle in the world: the Castle of Dragalno. On the journey there, not everything goes as planned, as suddenly everything goes from normal to completely weird, with monsters, Dragons and ghosts turning everything from bad to worse. Will Charlie get out alive?

Publisher’s Note (November 2005 – reproduced from the book)

Owen started writing this book around Easter time. When I became involved with the Ghana Project, I said that, if he finished writing the book before the end of the year, I would arrange to have it printed and we would sell it to raise funds for the Ghana Project.

To his immense credit, Owen finished writing (and typing) the text, and so the publishing process was set in motion. A number of people, both family and friends, have helped to make this book a reality, but I would particularly like to thank: Justin Folker for his cover design work (including Alex’s illustration), given free of charge; Dave Harrison for his generous and flexible approach to the printing; and John Buchmuller of Baseline Creative for his support and expertise.

The Ghana Project is organised by HANDS AROUND THE WORLD (Registered Charity Number 1097626), which “aims to promote international understanding, co-operation and friendship by encouraging and enabling volunteers to offer practical help and skill-sharing in response to requests from disadvantaged areas of the world”.
